Weekend opens close to entries at five tracks on Wednesday

WEDNESDAY is weekend open-closing day for five tracks with Doncaster, Oxford, including two competitions, and Star Pelaw having Saturday evening contests scheduled, while Valley and Towcester have advertised Sunday morning and afternoon opens respectively.

Biggest event of the weekend is the £15,000 Time Greyhound Nutrition TV Trophy which is due to start with three heats over 942m at Towcester on Sunday, while Star Pelaw has £500 invitation races on Saturday over 435m and 780m supporting its Bet Aways & Sports Events With Star Sports On-Course Vase final.
