Towcester Saturday meeting off due to power issues

THE meeting scheduled for Towcester on Saturday morning has been cancelled due to the power issues which curtailed Friday’s fixture there.

Director of racing James Chalkley said: “Dave Boothby has been investigating the electrical issue that caused the abandonment of the last three races on Friday.

“There is an issue with one of main power boards that will not be fixed in time for Saturday morning, but we’re hopeful it will be in time for Sunday’s meeting.

“We need to speak to trainers to check availability but if we can we’ll move the cancelled Saturday card to Monday afternoon.”
