Star Pelaw announces first open competition under new regime

STAR PELAW has announced details of the first open-race competition to be staged at the track since Ben Keith's bookmaking firm purchased the venue last autumn.

The Bet Aways And Sports Events With Star Sports On Course Vase over the standard 435m will have heats on Sunday 9th March with the £1,000 final at a special Saturday evening meeting on 15th March.

Entries close at midday on Wednesday 5th March.

Star Pelaw's regular schedule changes from the start of March when it will generally race on Thursday and Sunday evenings with the exception of Good Friday, Easter Sunday and some Bank Holiday Mondays.
