Pie looks ready for a piece of the Oxford action second run back

SAVANA PIE was having her first race back from seasonal rest when just shaded last week and Chris Hamblin's bitch has to be of major interest in Oxford's A3 over 450m at 3.49.

She is only ten weeks out of season and will doubtless improve more with each run but even something close to that comeback form may well suffice.

Savana Pie (T2) was just picked up last week and should improve

Her UK record is zero from three but her first two starts were in a very decent maiden stayers' open competition - she was withdrawn from the final after breaking in season - and she also reached a strong unraced decider at Enniscorthy before joining current connections.

The Thursday morning SIS action comes from Towcester and Waterford with Jason Smith's Westfield Weasel (12.29) and Liam Corcoran's Jumbos Daisy (2.18) the picks, while Bill Clack's Cabriol Beth (5.46) can score at Limerick.

There are evening meetings at Star Pelaw and Valley with Vincent Lund's Sharp Royd (6.39) and Charlie Darch's Pandy Ruby (8.34) the respective picks.
