Patriot is quick on the draw to claim Juvenile Classic title

DROOPYS PATRIOT, trained by Robert Gleeson for the Newmarket Racing Syndicate, showed his rivals a clean pair of heels to land the €11,000 T Nolan CVRT Centre Juvenile Classic final over 525 yards at Tralee's Kingdom Stadium.
Outsider Flashing Fender (10/1) was first to show but then moved middle from trap two allowing Droopys Patriot (9/4) all the room in the world on the rails to utilise his superb early pace.
He did that in no uncertain fashion, speeding to the turn to take total control at that point whereas 11/10 favourite Ballinabola Joe was momentarily tangled up before getting loose.
Droopys Patriot never really looked like being caught but Ballinabola Joe did chase admirably hard and, at the line, was just a length and a half adrift of the 28.21sec winner with Flashing Fender third meaning Pat Buckley filled the other two podium places.
