Lifford joining SIS service with Sunday slot from this weekend
LIFFORD is to join the regular SIS service with a Sunday evening meeting, starting with an eight-race card on 10th November.
Richard Brankley, head of greyhound operations for SIS, said: “There has been a lot of hard work by the local community promoting Lifford since it reopened, and I am delighted that Greyhound Racing Ireland have made the track available to SIS.
"It is a visually stunning track that will present well to our subscribers. This will bring to 16 the number of UK and Irish tracks covered every week and will be shown across all SIS retail, digital and media channels – including on sisracing.tv”
A Lifford statement added: "Management welcomes the opportunity to showcase our fantastic facilities and racing to a worldwide audience and we look forward to working with SIS into the future."
The Co. Donegal venue, originally built in 1959 and significantly refurbished some 20 years ago, closed in August 2019 but reopened in spring last year.
