Kilkenny on SIS Friday evening with view to permanent slot

KILKENNY will feature on the SIS service on Friday evening this week with the intention being that the slot will become a regular on the schedule after a successful outing on 8th November due to fireworks issues in the UK.

A ten-race card is programmed and further cements the relationship SIS has with Irish racing via Greyhound Racing Ireland with Lifford having recently joined the schedule on Sunday evenings. Kilkenny already has a regular Wednesday SIS fixture.

Richard Brankley, head of greyhound operations for SIS, said: “The popularity of Irish racing has grown tremendously this year with the tracks benefiting from regular exposure at more favourable race times than previously.

"Given the challenges facing greyhound racing in the UK, SIS is continuing to expand its greyhound coverage by working with Greyhound Racing Ireland to deliver more of their existing fixtures onto the SIS service.”
