Increased prize money on the agenda after Star Pelaw switch


STAR PELAW will offer across-the-board increased prize money of approximately 20 per cent when the full transfer of ownership from Jeff McKenna and family is completed.

The north-east track is due to switch from Arc to the SIS service on the weekend of Saturday 19th October/Sunday 20th October with a new prize money structure whereby A1 and A2 races will offer £450 and £440 in prize money, with £150 and £140 going to the winner respectively, while at the opposite end of the scale, A8 races will offer £105 to the winner with a total pot of £305 for the race.

STAR Pelaw, as the former Pelaw Grange will now be known following its acquisition by Ben Keith’s Star Sports, will work in tandem with SIS for future media meetings. News that the the track will switch from Arc to SIS after the October 13th fixture was announced late on Friday

Star Pelaw will race on Boxing Day as well as a potential fixture scheduled for New Year’s Day.
