Ian Fortune's weekly Irish Focus - Wednesday 3rd July edition
THE weekly Irish Focus, which takes in all the big racing in Ireland, now appears on sisracing.tv
Curraheen Park is the first port of call for updates on no fewer than three competitions, the Shelley Fennelly Memorial Open Bitch Stake, the Denis Linehan Solicitors Open Unraced and the David Fitzgibbon Memorial Open 525 Stake.
From Limerick come semis of the Treaty Cup Open 350 and the third round of the Time Greyhound Nutrition A4 Derby, while the Centenary Agri Tipperary Cup at Thurles also reached the same stage.
Finally, in Ireland at least, Shelbourne had the semis of the BoyleSports Champion Plate and Champion Stakes plus a six-bend Classic final, the 2024 Corn Cuchulainn.
And it is only correct to round off this week's segment with a look back to a third successive Irish-trained winner of the Star Sports/TRC English Derby at Towcester.
Hopefully, Liam Dowling and De Lahdedah came out of the weekend in better shape than Irish Focus host, Ian Fortune.
