Harnden's Ann can thrive again in Towcester sprint company

SALACRES ANN can continue her superb return from seasonal rest by making it three wins in four starts in the D3 over 270m which starts afternoon proceedings at Towcester (1.57).
Pete Harnden's bitch beat a couple of re-opposing rivals a week ago and goes unpenalised for that effort where she drove the opening bend to take command and was never threatened afterwards.
Salacres Ann (T4) matched her career-best time when winning last week
The winning time of 16.24sec matched her career best suggesting she remains on an upward curve and she does rather jump off the page.
The best could also come early at Oxford where Chris Hamblin's youngster Distant Buddy can register a third straight victory to start his career by landing the D1 opener over 253m at 10.32.
He was green on debut in a 450m event in March but still won with a bit in hand then returned from a break to demolish D2 sprint rivals recently suggesting he is nowhere near his ceiling yet.
The other Thursday morning SIS meeting is at Waterford where Derek Kehoe's Slaneyside Max should take some beating in an A6 at 1.12.
There is afternoon Irish action at Limerick where Chris O'Dwyer's Lion And Legend gets the vote in an A6 at 4.56, while David Curry's Easy Kentucky (6.39) and Donna Davy's Choctawhatate (7.04) are the respective fancies at Star Pelaw and Valley.
