Givemethemoney can start to repay sales tag second time up

GIVEMETHEMONEY, a £10,000 plus top lot purchase at Oxford sales last month, made an incredibly-striking racing debut in defeat at the track recently and has to be of interest second time up there today

Richard Baker's charge goes in an A1 over 450m at 12.29 having rattled home for third five days ago following a slow start and then running very green round the first couple of bends.

Givemethemoney (T6) should have learned a lot from his debut experience

That was a first career race for the July 2023 youngster so the inexperience shown was understandable and, while he will doubtless learn more still in coming outings, he should have come on enough to go two better.

A slicker start would be a first help and the race make-up looks favourable so he is taken to stay much closer to the action before asserting for a first win in the second half.

There is open action at Star Pelaw this afternoon with Savva Roberts' Jonny Whiskers, the 2023 Sunderland Classic champion, fancied to secure a first win since July in the 2.44 over 435m after a good recent second here.

Other open picks are Peter Richardson's Laughil Flash (1.37), Colin Watson's Ronnies Singsong (2.11) and David Welding's Moyar Brow (3.22).

There are also SIS Boxing Day meetings at Towcester, Valley and Doncaster with Laurence Tuffin's Fabulous Aurora (12.04), Donna Davy's Choctawhatate (12.24) and Jimmy Gaskin's Redbrick Milner (3.49) the respective suggestions.
