'Exceptional' lots at pre-Derby sale at Towcester on Monday

GREYHOUND TRADER's pre-Derby sale at Towcester on Monday 31st March promises to be the best the company has staged according to spokesman James Corden.

Corden said: "The quality of this year's pre-Derby Sale at Towcester is exceptional.

"We have our very first sub-28.00sec greyhound entered into the sales in the shape of Dutchie [27.98 at Shelbourne Park] plus the likes of Irish Cesarewitch runner-up Radical Scoby, Northern Puppy Derby semi-finalist Toolmaker Quick and Shelbourne Champion 550 third Swords Hero plus many more 28.40-28.50sec greyhounds.

"Our pre-Derby Sale has been very successful over the years with the likes of Savana Beau, Antigua Lava, Ballymac John, Antigua Sugar and Savana Jazz graduating from previous sales.

"There also look to be a few very nice unraced types in there and if the jungle drums are correct then we could see some of them post good clocks on the day."
